When using a dark skin, the font is always black. How can I change it to white?

Assuming your referring to the start menu, the feature would need to be supported by the skin; However most skins are white by default. If there is a specific one you found that only has black text, attach it here, and I can fix it for you.
Assuming your talking about windows explorer. This is beyond the scope of classic shell, and what you need is a custom theme: http://hackcrunch.blogspot.com/2015/09/ ... sktop.html
(look for one with white text, because dynamic changing of the text color isnt possible)

Did somebody say they needed a custom visual style built for them? I can do that :3

This would be the opposite of request from blueduck, and nothing to do with the start menu.

I used to have an ultra simple Windows 10 .theme that was downloaded from somewhere.
All it did was make the text black on the taskbar. No other changes.

If you can do that along with black icons, would be super.

Eh...Windows 10...I'll see what I can do. If I can get my Windows 10 VM to boot, that is

Good luck. Don't waste too much time on it.
Might not be possible anymore.
Windows Ten is a bit like a house with ever shrinking windows to look out of.
Another update, another brick on the window. :(
Soon there will none. Just 4 walls, floor and a ceiling to look at.

Well atleast you still have walls. Mine may or may not have just collapsed

Also we know with a fair degree of certainty that Windows 10's Taskbar still uses Visual Styles for font rendering because it doesn't display any text when the classic theme is applied.

If anybody knows how,
probably Mr GRiM would.

Might be as simple as using all the bits and pieces from High Contrast White theme.
Stripping everything away, until all that's left is black text, and black taskbar icons.

I don't have any knowledge to know if what I just said, is true? :?

The black text theme I deleted, was used on and off every few weeks,
when I changed the taskbar color with CSM to fog white.
It was good.
