Classic Shell: Forum

I would like to be able to simply add "Quick Launch" to the taskbar toolbar menu. I would even be ok with it being called "Classic Quick Launch". This way, a user could enable the toolbar if they wish. Yes, it could be manually added, but if they remove it, then it disappears from the toolbar menu. I would like to add the menu option for my users to click if they choose to enable it. This feature could also be used to create other folder toolbars, not necessarily just Quick Launch.




One of the reasons for this request is that we use Novell ZENworks, which has the ability to publish Zen delivered icons to the Quick Launch folder. Hopefully, Novell will fix the bug that prevents the Zen delivered icons from being pinned, but I am not holding my breathe and am looking for a simple solution until then.

Couldn't you create a toolbar called "Classic Quick Launch" using "New toolbar..."? The functionality is still all there. It's just off by default.
