In Win 8.1 with Classic Shell I love being able to do searches after tapping the Win key. But I still need SlickRun for editing my favourite documents or visiting my favourite web sites. It would be great if the Classic Shell search supported a list of keywords and their associated targets like SlickRun has. The Classic Shell search could then search the keywords as well as the usual files and folders, and (very important) move the highlighting to the keyword if one is found.

For me this would be a big usability boost for the ClassicShell search.

Hmm I tried SlickRun. It has autocomplete for aliases. Maybe Classic Shell could autocomplete the App Paths aliases at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths. It's up to Ivo to decide how it can be done, if it is possible. Currently, the App Paths aliases don't appear until you type the full EXE name.

SlickRun does more than just apps. You can jump to documents, folder, web sites, or anything you can make a shortcut to. I find it very useful.
I have already partially implemented it in ClassicShell by making a folder called MyFavorites and putting the shortcuts in there. The 'Win key' search finds them, which is good, but the crucial missing thing is that they are not highlighted, so I cannot simply press Enter to jump to the target. If there is anything in MyFavorites folder that matches the search, then ClassicShell should highlight that one instead of the current behaviour (which is to highlight the top one).

BTW, thanks for brilliant work that you all have done on ClassicShell.

The search results in the Programs section are sorted by frequency of use (the number of times you executed them from the search list). If your shortcut is not at the top of the list then it was not used as much as the item above it.
