hi, yall. I just wanted say that I love the custom image icon for the start menu, but can you add another feature to this? Like can you add an "auto-resize" feature because resizing this myself is annoying. Much thanks in advance. Sincerely Kay T |

I would assume he means resize it so the height of the image matches that of the taskbar by default, rather than the actual pixel height? |

That's not going to work. Often images are designed to have whitespace around them for padding. Often images are designed to actually be larger than the taskbar. And half the time the taskbar is on the side, and you certainly don't want the start button to be as wide as the taskbar. |

I assume that you would use width instead of height when the taskbar is on the sides... also he is requesting a change of the default, and you would still be able to change the custom size measurements not that I would find it any better his way (if his way is indeed as I described) though it might be nice to include a '1 state button' option that would mirror the entire image for all 3 states. (allowing any image to be used as a start button without having to adjust it in a photo-editing program)! I Imagine You would draw a border around it, so you can add pressed/unpressed states similar to that for the classic start button style. |

Start8 has a feature where they can use a single image. I have not seen it in practice but I imagine they change the background to black for the pressed state. They can afford that because their buttons can never leave the taskbar. Also they don't support the default Windows 8.1 button, and that's their way of emulating it. I don't think they have a way of customizing the background color, so I don't know how well it works for darker images. |

Actually... if the attached image were to be made 4 pixels larger than the image chosen.. and the image were offset by 11x1 for the default/hover states, and 13x3 for the clicked. I believe it would look rather nice
