Vista and XP had dynamic pinned "Internet" and "Email" items that would open the default of that program, and showed the icon of the program. Their names were bold, and they showed the name of the program they opened in lighter (In XP it's grey) text below their name. (Search 'windows vista start menu' in images to see it in action). This was removed in windows 7 for no good reason. Can you add this to classic start as an option? (dragging a shortcut of any kind can not reproduce this fully) |

You can create shortcuts for these: For Default web browser, create a new shortcut to your home page with the http:// prefix. For Default email client, create a shortcut to shell:::{2559a1f5-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0} |

And by can't be replicated I mean it can't say "Internet", in bold, then below it show the name of the browser in lighter text than the rest. |

Hmm. Try Explorer shell:::{2559a1f5-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0}. That will work. But it can't show what you're asking for - name of the program dynamically switched when the default changes. |

Oh and you forgot, You need to put a dash before shell because it's a parameter. And it says I have no default program associated. |

Skins do not support multiple fonts or multiple lines of text. This is not going to happen. I do not believe you are changing your defaults that often that you can't edit your start menu at the same time. |
