This is a simple request to add ctrl + up in classic explorer. This was removed in vista as a result of the up arrow being removed, and with classic explorer adding that back, I feel this should be added back too. It was a hotkey to open the current folder's parent in a new window. |

If you have the Up button added to the Classic Explorer toolbar, clicking Ctrl+Up there opens the parent folder in a new window. On Windows 7/Vista, the Up button added to the title bar also supports Ctrl+Up to open parent in a new window. On Windows 8 however, the title bar Up button is OS provided, so you will have to use the Classic Explorer Toolbar Up button for this functionality. |
