Post subject:  Auto-"Show more" in Details Pane for >15 objects selected

I would like to make a suggestion for an option in (most likely) Classic Explorer.

Problem: Upon selecting more than 15 files in Windows Explorer, the Details Pane only shows Details after clicking "Show more Details", and furthermore requiring you to do this everytime the selection changes.

Suggestion: I would love to have an option that allows me to adjust or completely turn off this "pseudo-intelligent"/"resource-efficient" behaviour, and always make the "Details Pane" serve its SINGLE purpose of showing details for the selected files! :x

Since obviously Microsoft, on their anti-productive and pro-imbecile trip, refuse to include such an option in their settings, that once again sounds like a task for Classic Shell to me :)

PS: While on it, a similar problem arises when right-clicking more than 15 files, since the context menu then lacks the "Open" verb. It seems that there is some registry key named "MultipleInvokePromptMinimum" having to do with this, but it would be nice to also turn this useless thing off in the wonderful Classic Shell GUI! :)

The value of 15 after which the Details pane starts showing "Show more details" might be hardcoded into Explorer. But the only property that is always applicable when multiple files are selected is the size. Download the latest Classic Shell release candidate version: http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/latestbeta and you will get back the status bar in Windows Explorer. Then you can stop relying on the Details pane for viewing size when the selection changes (and turn off Windows 8's built-in status bar from Folder Options). Other properties will always have multiple values if multiple files are selected. Windows does not show them except for date related values which it shows on the Details pane as a date range.

MultipleInvokePromptMinimum is the value after which it hides the "Open" verb for that many number of selected items. The Knowledge Base article is incorrect in mentioning that value of 16 means unlimited. 16 means after 16 selected files, the Open verb will be disabled. Set it to an infinite value so you will have no restrictions on the Open verb:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]
"MultipleInvokePromptMinimum"=dword:ffffffff
