It would be a nice to allow a background on all start menu items even without them being hovered/clicked This could also affect the spacing between menu items. There would need to be 3 new resources, and i would recommend making them optional: ButtonLeft, ButtonRight, ButtonSubmenu |

What do you mean "background"? There is already a background bitmap for the entire menu. |

When a button is hovered over in most skins it gets a square around it (as defined by the Main_Selection, and Main_Split_selection resources) I want that, except displayed on all the buttons regardless of mouse position (naturally it would be fall below the Main_Selection, Main_Split_selection, the buttons icon and text, on the Z coordinates.. |

Currently this is only supported for the icon portion of the menu item. Look at the Metro skin (from the old 3.6.8 version). |
