Hi there,

Would it be possible to have a delay multiplier for individual program folders in the All Programs menu tree in the Windows 7 (and other) style(s)?

I see that in: Settings | Main Menu tab in the Windows 7 style there is a setting for how long a hover on "All Programs" takes to open that menu automatically.

However, once inside the All Programs menu tree, could a hover over a program's folder open the folder without having to click that folder? Is there already a setting for this as I have looked and cannot find one?

Many thanks,

Mitch

"All Programs" has a separate settings because it can be both opened and closed by hovering. Also once it is opened, it won't be closed when another menu opens. This special behavior requires a slightly longer delay to work well.

Similarly the folders inside the tree both open and close when clicked. Doing that on hover will make it harder to use.

Hi Ivo,

Thanks for the reply. I think there's a possible misunderstanding.

All I'm asking is could program folders inside the All Programs tree also have a setting to open on hover?

Far from making this harder to use, it's a benefit, and is how Windows 7 opens folders! If you hover your mouse in Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional over a program folder in a few seconds it expands to show the shortcuts in that folder. That's all I'm asking.

I'm confused as to how in any way that would make things harder, rather it makes it easier?

Can you show me a screenshot in Windows 7 where hovering opens the tree? It doesn't happen for me (it only happens when I'm dragging a file).
