Hi Ivo and
GauravK
,

It was suggested to enroll in this forum for a feature submission.

I really like the metro skin you added some time ago, and realized if it had an optional blur/transparency similar to the Native Windows 10 Start Menu, then it would seem even more integrated.

The also nice, but not for me, Midnight theme has the blur, it looks much the same as Win10 blur

During my time on my system I use Classic Shell and the MS Start under different circumstances and enjoy having BOTH.

Thanks for the good work already on the being the Standard for menu replacements.

The latest beta version 4.2.2 supports blur on Windows 10.

I think what he means is a skin like Full Glass (of Classic style). He wants an option for the Metro skin in Windows 7 style e.g a checkbox like "Full Glass" to make it look like the Windows 10 menu. The Metro skin as of Classic Shell 4.2.2 beta continues to use a flat color (or 100% opacity) even if the older skins like Aero support glass.

Exactly, the Metro skin could use a touch of Modern blur.... :) Always optional of course, so a check box.

"Added new flat Metro skin that uses the Start screen colors for all Start Menu styles"

Its a pity it uses the Start screen color on Windows 8.1 as well, instead of the taskbar color- since it remains blue all the time, not changing like the taskbar vs wallpaper. On Win10 it The start screen shares the changing color. Love it. Something about 10 to like.
Unless there is a setting I missed for Win8.1. I run bing wallpaper.

@ralcool, you might like this free tool from Winaero: http://winaero.com/comment.php?comment.news.217 It can read your taskbar color and set the same color on the Start screen and vice versa.

Starting with Classic Shell 4.2.3, the Metro skin in Classic styles (Metro.skin) can have glass with blur on Windows 10. It can be toggled from the Skin tab when the Metro skin is selected.

Starting with Classic Shell 4.2.5, the Metro and Midnight skins support transparency in both columns in Windows 7 style.
