| Post subject: | Metro Apps will not load at all |
After installing Windows Classic Shell, none of my metro apps will load. It flashes to the splash screen of the app, then returns to the metro start page! New HP DV7-7227cl with Windows 8. |

I think I've seen that, but on a machine with no Classic Shell. A reboot fixed it for me. See if it helps in your case. If that doesn't work, run "sfc /scannow", and even try uninstalling Classic Shell. |

tried to run sfc /scannow, but get a error message: You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use sfc /scannow. Reboot had no effect. |

You need to open an admin command prompt. type "cmd" in the metro screen and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter. |
