Windows 10 If you have created a shortcut to File Explorer on the start menu you cannot rename this to Windows Explorer. Nothing happens if you rename it, it's still called File Explorer. It's been called Windows Explorer since Windows 95 and I want to stick to that name (I also have Firefox under F so a lot faster to start Firefox through Ctrl-Esc F instead of Ctrl-Esc F F to get the second program with F). As far as I'm aware this has been an issue with all Classic Shell versions running under Windows 10. |

Renaming built-in shortcuts might be problem because Windows Explorer relies on a hidden system file called desktop.ini to change their names. If you delete desktop.ini you will be able rename. This is not a Start Menu problem, it will be the same in Windows Explorer. |
