if using menu tree you navigate from say 'this pc' folder to a file in some sub sub directory and then you drag this file to a window of your target move, the move will start but the screen will display the traversed hierarchy -drawn by classic shell- for up to the end of the transfer. You are being blocked from using your machine for as long as the transfer lasts (unless you use alt-tab) |

That's how it is. When you use the Classic menu for copying/moving huge files, Explorer starts its own UI dialogs for finishing the file operation. It must finish that operation before the menu can be used again. You have two options: - Don't use the Start Menu to copy/move large files. Use Explorer for such tasks. - Use a replacement copy software like PerigeeCopy which I recommend anyway because it has classic overwrite dialogs like Windows XP and earlier. It won't block you from using the Start menu while the copy/move operation is going on. |
