I had a HDD issue and reinstalled Windows on my PC. When I reinstalled CS on my new clean Windows install I didn't have the "Pin To Start" for CS. I have the option for the Win8 menu but not for CS. Here is what I am running.

HP Elitebook 8760w
Windows 8.1 Pro v6.3.9600 64Bit
8GB RAM, More then enough HDD space, etc.

I uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. After uninstalling I removed any folders found in "Program Files" and "appdata". Also did a quick CCleaner for the registry. But when I restart and install again I don't get the settings menu when I first run the app, like a new install should. And the "Pin To Start" for CS is still missing.

Any help is very welcome and thanks in advance!

The option is only available if you right-click on a shortcut or on an exe. What are you right-clicking?

Thank you for the quick reply. I am a long time user and lover of CS. The menu option is missing if I click on anything. EXE, Shortcut, if I navigate to "All Programs", etc. This is in CM or using Explorer.

Do you have these registry keys?
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\StartMenuExt
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\StartMenuExt
And what's in them?

Those reg keys where missing. But...

I uninstalled then restarted. Deleted any folders left in "Program Files" and "appdata". Then searched the Registry and deleted this folder "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IvoSoft". Restarted and reinstalled. FIXED!!! So nice having CS back in action.

Ivo,

Thank you for all the hard work you put into this CS. I truly appreciate it. Thank you again and God bless.
