I can't get the Classic Start Menu to work. Only the Windows Start Menu appears. It just doesn't show, although I can use the classic explorer, and I also can change the start button and taskbar. Shift right click opens the Classic Start Menu options window. Cortana is disabled but the service himself is working in the background.

Right click the start button (or potentially shift+right click in your case) and select Settings
Then check 'show all settings' and navigate to the 'controls' tab. Everything you need should be in there

Well thx for the suggestion but i already tried to change the settings. It doesn't matter what start menu design i choose, it wouldn't change.

Is left click set to open "Classic Start Menu" on the Controls tab and not "Windows Start Menu"? And the same for "Windows Key opens"? Also make sure that the Shift key on your keyboard is not pressed or stuck. Or set "Shift+Left click opens" also to "Classic Start Menu".

Omg i feel so dumb! I just didn't noticed the option about the left click settings. Thx alot guys!

Having the same issue. Sorta.

Loaded ClassicShell 4.2.4 and everything worked fine, until the last Windows update. Now, ClassicShell does not open by default when I restart my PC, I have to go into the menus and start it by clicking on its icon. THEN, it runs fine and opens when I click the Start button. Until the next restart.

My setting are set so that it runs on Windows Start, and it is set to be the default for left-click and Windows button.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing. Did not resolve the issue.

In addition, probably not a ClassicShell issue.. since installing ClassicShell, new programs installed on my PC do NOT show up anywhere in the native Windows 10 menu. So, all those programs are lost on my PC unless I use the ClassicShell > Programs menu.
