Post subject:  Crashes by clicking start button

I got Windows 10 Pro version:10.0 Build: 10240, and the version of Classic Shell: 4.2.3 When I click the Start button, I get a long pause, and the classic shell closes out, and reloads. If I knew where the error log was if there is one, I would post it. BTW The crash doesn't always happen. It might even crash explorer.exe maybe, because it closes out I see the taskbar flicker, and then the start button reload back on it. Also I am using the Windows 7 Start menu, and Windows 7 Start button theme if that has anything to do with it.

If you are using 64-bit Windows, try the patch from here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4810#p20341

I am seeing the same issue with Win 10 32 bit. I assume the 64 bit dll won't fix it!

@bleve, try Classic Shell 4.2.4 which is out now.

I am using 4.2.4 on Windows 10 Pro 64bit and also getting crashes. I noticed it happened every time I hovered over "Recent Items"

I had recent items set as a menu, not a link.
