Love this app - made a donation. but often the Search does not work. If I search for a Word file, it does not come up - but when I put a '.' after it, it does. For some reason, Search does not find Word files unless there is a full stop '.' after it - sometimes. Could this be fixed? Thanks |

What is the exact file name and what is the exact text you are typing to find it? What version of Windows do you have? |

File search in Classic Start Menu is powered by Windows Search indexing. See this article to understand how it works: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1588 Your Word documents may not be getting indexed correctly. Also, state your Windows OS, and mention how you are searching Word files. Are you typing just the file name or the full path? Are you searching for the Word file's contents or just the file name? |
