I just tried to update windows 10 9926 to 10041, and it failed 2 times. I reinstalled Windows 10 9926, withoud making any change to it (no installs of classic shell 4.20) and from than on it updated correctly. Somehow classic shell 4.20 beta prevented windows 10 from being updated correctly. With kind regards. |

Are you sure Classic Shell is at fault? Other people are also reporting issues with upgrading. |

I was able to upgrade from 9926 to 10041 with Classic Shell installed (on a virtual machine). There was no other software installed before the upgrade. |

After Upgrade to build 10041 in must reinstall ClassicShell 4.2 But File History is empty. For Example, no last open Excel Files shown. |

Presence of Classic Shell should not affect your ability to upgrade Windows 10 builds. Something else is likely to be the issue. For example, some prerequisite update not installed. For build 9926, you need updates KB3038930 and KB3040021 installed to install future builds. |
