Thanks for this great Start menu program, that transforms Windows 8.1 to what it should have been from the box. I'm sorry to say, but there is an issue that annoys me a lot. After cold start it takes a very long time to open the "Control Panel" or "Recent Items" menu. The start menu and Windows Explorer freezes completely for about 20-30 seconds, after hovering mouse over those two mentioned items. If I'm patient enough to wait, the menu content will finally appear and will also work fast for the following few minutes until the issue returns. Looks like you have a system folder on some network location (something like \\192.168.137.1\c), which is slow to respond. May be a network drive that has gone to sleep. The next version will have a fix for this problem. However there is no ETA at this time. |
