When a metro UI is open in windows 8.1 (e.g. the search and networks UIs) and the taskbar is hidden, clicking the start button on the 1px of visible taskbar along the edge of the screen will close the metro UI and open the start menu without showing the taskbar. It's then impossible to show the taskbar without first closing the start menu. |
