I have found a minor bug in using DisplayFusion with Classic Shell Start Menu. I am not sure if it is an issue with Classic Shell Start Menu or DisplayFusion. I have submitted this bug report to both groups. When the multi-monitor taskbar is enabled, pressing the Winkey on the keyboard will result in the start menu showing on whichever monitor contains the mouse cursor. Well, most of the Classic Shell Start Menus begin with the focus in the search "Search programs and files" text field. I have noticed that when the mouse cursor is on a SECONDARY monitor, and the Winkey is pressed, the SECONDARY start menu's focus is not correctly placed in the search area. The cursor will be blinking as if the focus is in the correct place, but when I begin to type on the keyboard, nothing appears. I will try to clarify with the images that I attach. Classic Start Menu 4.1.0, Classic Style Menu, but the same thing happens in Windows 7 style menu. And I do have the option checked to give the focus to the search box. Again, this only happens on my secondary monitor.

Did you get any reply from DisplayFusion on this? |

Yes, they are unable to replicate the problem, but I am able to produce the problem on two different machines. I recorded a video of the problem, though it is a bit blurry, I demonstrate what I mean. This is only a minor annoyance, but definitely a bug. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/66272/startprob.MOV |

I believe it might be a DisplayFusion issue if it doesn't happen with the native Windows 8 taskbar and Classic Shell. Unfortunately, no native Windows taskbar on Windows 7. Haven't used DisplayFusion in a long time, does it have separate settings to configure the Classic Shell Start Menu on the non-primary monitors or does it share the settings from the Classic Shell Start Menu on the primary monitor? Try fiddling with the Classic Shell settings to replace the Start button. |

I'm not sure if I explained this well, but this issue doesn't happen with the native Windows 7 start menu. DisplayFusion does not have any configuration in regards to ClassicShell. It just detects classic shell as it loads. I don't know how DisplayFusion creates a copy of the Windows Start Menu or the ClassicShell Start Menu, to me it seems like magic. But I do know that the focus problem does not happen with the Windows Start Menu, only the ClassicShell menu. Thanks for taking the time to reply. |

My solution currently is to disable the start button on the second monitor. |
