When I right click in Classic Shell, the program tries start installing a program. When I close that window, I get the context menu I asked for. Why is this happening? mojr |

Windows has a built-in feature for its Windows Installer component called self-healing/self-repair. If any program that you have installed has some of its files or registry entries deleted, then Windows tries to repair it. It may be some program which has a shell extension which is why it starts to repair itself when you right-click. It is unlikely to be related to Classic Shell. Try right clicking on that shortcut by opening a File Explorer window -Windows may still try to repair it. |
