Sometimes I have the shell, sometimes I don´t. I tried the "repair" option already, but after the next boot the same appears again.

In addition to the missing shell I have the following popup window EVERYTIME I boot my PC:

Problemsignatur:

Anwendungsversion: 4.0.4.0
Anwendungszeitstempel: 52db263d
Fehlermodulname: ntdll.dll
Fehlermodulversion: 6.3.9600.16502
Fehlermodulzeitstempel: 52c359e8
Ausnahmecode: c0000005
Ausnahmeoffset: 00000000000968da
Betriebsystemversion: 6.3.9600.2.0.0.768.101
Gebietsschema-ID: 1031
Zusatzinformation 1: 9c22
Zusatzinformation 2: 9c22bd264ca7199caacb9bbe8422b885
Zusatzinformation 3: 84e0
Zusatzinformation 4: 84e07d9c232d3251c5bf8767631fae5f

I am running WIN 8.1 64bit, upgraded from WIN8.0. I have an I7 processor running.

Please help me somehow as it really sucks to have this windows every time my Pc is booting.

Thank you in advance!

Your Start menu is crashing. Please capture a crash dump using these instructions: http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewt ... p?f=12&t=6 . Upload/attach the crash dump here to this post.

Looks like the crash is in ClassicStartMenu.exe instead of Explorer.exe. So when running procdump use the command "procdump -e classicstartmenu.exe".

It is possible that the start button is simply behind the taskbar. As a test try a start button that is larger than the taskbar and then you can see if it is behind or really missing.
