Hello, I am an advanced tech knowledgeable in MSDN problem solving. Q. Do you know of any bugs that may cause or irritate Windows 8.1 Pro running Classic Shell 3.6.2 when trying to install Microsoft Streets and Trips 2013 ? The specific error is: A licensing initialization error has occurred. Please contact the administrator. The error code is 0xc004d301I have even gone as far as copying the DVD to the hard drive enabling edit of the setup.ini and changed the MSVCRTCheck =1 to a 0 Please advise, Budmacc |

I am not aware of any issues that may cause other software to fail because Classic Shell is installed. However the first version to support Windows 8.1 is 3.6.8. It is recommended you upgrade to the latest version 4.0.6. |
