Post subject:  Uninstalled the program the wrong way
I have Windows 8. (not upgraded to 8.1 yet)

I recently uninstalled Classic Shell V.3.6.08 (I don't know the exact version number)
I didn't follow the steps mentioned in this faq however: http://www.classicshell.net/faq/#install_uninstall
I simply went to the Control Panel --> Programs and features and uninstalled it there.

My question is if this has caused problems, left traces of Classic Shell on my PC etc.
Or to summarize: What should I do now to have it correctly uninstalled from my PC? ;)

It will be fine. The only potential problem is on Windows 7 where the menu in Explorer can get stuck to be always visible. This does not apply to Windows 8.

Another simple question: On my taskbar is a shortcut to the "Start Screen".

It redirects to "%ProgramW6432%\Classic Shell\\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -togglenew

Is this a leftover from Classic Shell?

Classic Shell does not put a shortcut on the taskbar. You may have pinned it yourself. You can unpin it or delete it.
