When the hover delay on hover opens is less than about 400-500 one cannot get to the settings menu with the right click. Is there or can there be an alternative key combination to get to the settings menu like maybe adding settings to the right click opens Win - X menu |

You can use the shortcut named "Start Menu Settings" in the Classic Shell folder. You can even assign a hotkey to it if you want. |

There are many ways to open Settings: - If the hover delay has low value, you can try double right clicking on the Start button. That makes it show the context menu for me. - Create a shortcut anywhere you want pointing to: "C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ClassicStartMenu.exe" -settings - Assign a hotkey to the Settings shortcut inside All Programs such as "Ctrl+Shift+M" or anything you want from its Properties (as Ivo mentioned above) Btw, Ivo, shouldn't Esc to close the menu make it prevent opening the Start menu again when it's set to open by hover, unless the mouse is taken elsewhere and hovered again over the Start button? |

Well, it is assumed that if you use the mouse to open the menu then you would continue to use the mouse in the menu as well. |

No I mean left click too. Once the menu opens by hover, and you left click the Start button to close it, shouldn't it open again only when the mouse is taken away from the button and hovered again? Otherwise, it keeps opening even if you close it. |
