The startmenu does not appear if ObjectDock is running. Maybe it's a problem with the z-order of the windows.... System: Windows7 / ObjectDock2+ |

Hi Ivo, there is nothing to put in to a screenshot. Let's explain: - stable version 3.6.8 and (versions before) works fine without any issues - beta 3.9.3 has the following effects: * Classic Startmenu's start icon appears normally * when clicking on it, I will see the start menu flashing up in the background for a fraction of a second * without Objectdock running, everything is ok. * it doesn't matter in which order the programs (Classic Shell, ObjectDock) are started (I have the paid version of Object dock 2+) |

ObjectDock's Start Menu button seems to send the Winkey keystroke and whatever is set to open the Windows key in Classic Start Menu settings will open. You could try another workaround to open the menu. Right click on dock background -> Settings -> Add -> Shortcut -> Blank shortcut. In the 'Link' field, specify: C:\Program Files\Classic Shell\Classic Start menu.exe and in the 'Arguments' field specify: -toggle. The -toggle parameter opens Classic Start Menu. You can rename and change the icon to the one used for the Start button. Does that work? ![]() |

Good evening Gaurav, nothing of them are working. But something happened on the screen. When I have a maximized windows on top, then clicking on the start menu button (or the blank shortcut as described), a shadow of the start menu appears on the top left side. So I assume, that the menu is opened, but not on the top. But I found an interesting thing that maybe encircle this issue a little bit: Beta 3.9.1 works correct.... |

Hi guys, Just to say another (legitimately purchased) Object Dock owner here that's had to revert to 3.6.8 of Classic Shell. I'm running Win8.1 (updated from 8.0) and all was fine but updating Classic Shell to 4.0.2 (I've tried the previous two stable ones too without success) has meant I can't access the Classic start menu. It's exactly the same effect as waltham describes - It flickers for a brief second and then vanishes. I can make it appear if I disable the 'Hide The Windows Taskbar' but then left with a rather ugly line at the bottom of the screen with the Windows taskbar keep popping up when I hover my mouse near the lower section of the screen (thus completely defeating the point of Object Dock). But yes, uninstalling 4.0.2 and going back to 3.6.8 has certainly sorted it. I mean I'm perfectly happy running this version - just thought I'd better flag it to the dev team ! Pete. |
