Hi Ivo,

I am not sure if this have something to do with ClassiShell but I am using an ssd and have moved my temp folders (%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp and %SystemRoot%\TEMP) via environment variables to extend the drive's life span and now if the "Show User Picture" is empty in the Start Menu. To restore it I need to recreate the %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp. It seems that ClassicShell don't use the new temp folder path => (E:\TEMP\Users\FFReestyleRR\AppData\Local\Temp). It's not such a pain as I can simple remove the check box beside the "Show user picture" option but wanted to let you know.

Regards,
Georgi

The start menu calls a system function to get the picture. That function usually places it in the temp folder.
If that doesn't work for you, try the beta version 4.2.0, which has a new setting to provide your own picture path.
The Start Menu setting is on General Behavior tab : User picture

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.
I am currently using 4.2.0. Where can I find that setting?
The workaround is to recreate the %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp again and leave it alone along with the new temp folder or to use a junction.

Thanks! :)

Regards,
Georgi
