How do I get Classic Shell to load when I start Windows. Since I updated to Windows 8.1 (Bad mistake) when I turn on my Computer the Start button is just the windows Button. Click it I get the horrible windows menu, not the classic shell one. I have to keep loading Classic Shell and changing the settings. Its really annoying.

You have to perform a Repair installation of Classic Shell after upgrading to Windows 8.1 by running the installer of the version that you have installed.

You also may have to select the option in Classic Shell to replace the Windows Start button. On my system, that option was off by default. Probably because Windows 8 didn't have a Start Button.

Which problem? You will have to at least write a proper sentence in English so we can understand what the issue is.

@radmirb: Looks like there is supposed to be a link to an image in your post, but the link is inaccessible. You can try adding it as an attachment.

Just like I said in the other forum, this error means "access denied". I recommend using a tool like Process Monitor to identify exactly what operation is failing. If you don't know how to use such tool you need to find someone who does. My guess is there is something wrong with the permissions in the registry.

@radmirb, You could use a freeware like Unlocker to determine what is locking the DLL: http://www.emptyloop.com/unlocker/download.php Don't use Unlocker to forcibly unlock it, but only to see which program is locking it. Then exit that program and try installing Classic Shell again.

Even admins get "access denied". Permissions can be denied for admins too. However an admin has the permissions to allow himself access. But for that you need to know which resource is denying you access. Until you find that out, we are just speculating.
