I was using a previous version with Win 10 and the clock worked fine.

Since updating to 4.2.4 there is no access to the clock controls. Right or left click on the clock I don't remember.

And Win 10 did a nice job of the clock control.

This seems like a bug in the implementation of the 4.2.4 taskbar. And it is a serious pain as I use that many times a day to check time in other zones where I talk with people.

Can this little thing be given urgent attention? (Assume I'm right)

Yani

classic shell doesn't touch the taskbar, except to throw a start button on it, so its likely unrelated
so what happens when you right/left click on the time? nothing at all?

Classic Shell only adds a Start menu to Windows 10. It should not affect the taskbar clock functionality in any way. What do you mean no access to clock controls? Does clicking the clock not show you the time zones?

Btw in Windows 10, the clock UI got rewritten and is quite buggy. Maybe it will work if you revert to the old style clock: http://winaero.com/blog/there-is-a-new-pane-for-date-and-time-in-windows-10-build-9926/

Set the value of UseWin32TrayClockExperience to 1 to enable the old style clock.

Windows instability. Gone after several reboots.
