Using Classic Shell 4.2.3 RC and Windows 10 x64 production, I do not seem to be able to effectively change the glass color. It continues to take on the primary color of the rotating desktop wallpaper.



In this case, I tried to override the glass color to black ... accepting the change and even rebooting the machine. The option to change the taskbar color (Via Windows 10 options | Customize Taskbar | Taskbar color) seems to work properly.

The default skin in Classic Shell on Windows 10 is the Metro skin. It follows the system Metro colors only.

All the other skins support the glass color setting. Go to the Skin tab in Classic Start Menu settings to switch to another skin such as Windows Aero or Windows 8 and you will be able to override the color.

Ah! Makes sense.

Then maybe that option should be greyed out when that skin is selected? I did notice that this option only works with "Midnight", "Windows 8" or "Windows Aero" skins. Everything else ignores this option. However, I can definitely work with these 3 skins. Nice.

The option says "Menu *glass* color" so any skin without glass won't work with it.
