If I am happy with Windows 8.0 as fixed by Classic Shell is there any benefit to installing 8.1 only to fix it with Classic Shell all over again?

NM This post was part of what I deleted out of my above post which I found not to be appropriate for this sub forum.

Well I would say the benefits of installing Windows 8 over Windows 7 are also questionable unless you can't do without "Apps". :D And the benefits of installing Windows 7 and then fixing it with Classic Shell and numerous other third party apps are also questionable over Windows XP Professional. (depends on what features of Windows 7 you want which you miss in XP vs what you desire from XP and wish you had it in Windows 7) :D

Well I guess I was able to answer my own question. Though Windows 8.0 and 8.1 will operate identical as fixed by Classic Shell, the big "M" is going to cut off support for 8.0 2 years from 8.1's release date. MSFT answered this question for me when they announced that.

I'm going to still be using Windows 7.
Windows XP to 7 was a huge step. 7 to 8 won't. So for me it may even last more then 10 years
