 Post subject: Double Icons on Desktop

I was unable to find this issue in a search so I am going to post it here.

I have two icons for each application on my desktop.

If I delete one of them the other does not work

What setting and where is it that needs to be changed?

The Desktop is part of Windows and Classic Shell does not affect desktop icons in any way. It is only a Start Menu+Explorer & IE addons. Your problem might be solved if you ask in a Windows forum such as Neowin or My Digital Life forum.
