Hello All.

A review and nothing more.

Recently I had to upgrade to Windows 7 from XP (I liked XP :) It did everything I needed. But MS is removing support, so I was forced to move house.

That's where my issues really began.

The W7 file-manager is really screwed up. It's minimalist to a point that it's unusable, and the lack of 'tree-lines' in the file panel : was really, really annoying me. Amongst other things.

Started digging on Goggle, and found something called Classic Shell.

Downloaded the installer : NORTON refused to allow me to run the programme for Classic shell (4.0.6)
- And insisted it was identified as a crowd style mal-ware programme.

:x :x :x IT IS NOT. :x :x :x

But to run the programme, and tell NORTON to 'restore' the file:
- You have top be logged in as an Administrator.

I run my system as a 'Guest'. :?:

After you have done all that, and finally run the file 'ClassicShellSetup_4_0_6.exe' as an Admin - you are presented with an extra set of options on your menu bar. As in:

'menu1'

Click on the 'shell' :!: and then : Play-Away:
All I can say from running, and playing with the options is : ** Wow ** - :o What a programme.
Finally something that makes Windows actually useful, and productive again.

And as a bonus : I've finally got my folder tree lines back. As in:

'tree-view'

Donated to it, and would advise others to do the same, but if you feel that $10.00 is too much, then donate 5.00 - Give the guy something for his hard work! - This programme is the bees-knees.
It's very good, and I cannot recommend it enough.

RGDS - Terry - SWN: :D

On my win 8.1 I was able to download 4.05 without problem with the Norton antivirus already running in a Toshiba satellite notebook but on 4.06 Norton did not allow me to download it and proceeded to erase the download file, then I downloaded it again and in options I forced Norton to download it and to stop prompting me problems from the classic Shell website.
