from the "search bar" or whatever it's called - windows 7 replacement for "run"...

in Windows 7 I could type c:\ and it would open Windows Explorer window in c:\ location

if I type \\SomeRemoteComputer\SomeShare

it would open that remote path in Windows Explorer window

in ClassicShell using \\RemoteComputer paths opens Windows Explorer in "search for \\RemoteComputer" mode instead of opening the location.

I consider this to be a minor nuisance.

Any option to change this in current or future releases ?

Kind regards,
Igor

The feature you describe is most definitely there in Classic Shell. Which version of Classic Shell are you using? There was a bug with network share paths in 4.0 due to which network paths didn't open. It is fixed in 4.0.2. Also make sure that on the Search box in Classic Start Menu settings, "Enable Auto-Complete" option is checked.
