Hello, for a while now I had the problem where the tree view in Explorer got "shredded" / "fractured", see enclosed image. What I have to do to produce this is open the tree so that a scrollbar appears, then move the tree up and down using the scroll bar. Eventually it's not redrawn properly at top or bottom and moving the mouse somewhere into the middle gives terrible effects.

I just switched off Classic Explorer using the "Internet Options -> Programs tab -> Manage Add-ons".

The effect persists. So it has nothing to do with Classic Explorer.

I'm posting it here, since in this forum I have found the most knowledgeable and helpful people.

This is because you removed the Favorites through some registry hack. That's one of the side effects.

Incredible, I just worked that out myself five minutes ago. I knew it, this forum has the most knowledgeable and helpful people!! Thank you. Is this side effect described somewhere?

You are right, I used "wenpcfg" to get rid of the unwanted items in the left pane.
