Here are the glyphs for easy copy-pasting if anyone wants to use them in the Classic Start Menu: Follow the instructions here: http://www.classicshell.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5091#p33545 Note: These glyphs will display properly on Windows 7 and up with the Segoe UI Symbol font present. The link are not in my reply but it's my signature that appears below every post I make. If your crashes are gone, it means you already found the right driver and don't need to do anything else. Even without Classic Shell, simply opening Control Panel crashes Explorer.exe if the buggy driver file is... |

There are no plans to make it exactly as Windows search. The Windows 7 menu search has certain deficiencies which Classic Start Menu improved upon: - Because Windows 7's menu can't do partial matches, you can't type RAR to open WinRAR. Or dataexecut to open DEP properties. With Classic Start Menu, y... |

No replacing F3 is not a good idea because F3 opens different things on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 and users prefer different things. For example, on Windows 8.1, the built-in Windows search is the only one that can search network files, Classic Start Menu cannot so both are required. Similarly, on Windo... |

On PCs which have IDT audio, the audio driver (IDTNC64.cpl file to be specific) is known to be incompatible with the latest Windows 10. It can cause Explorer/Classic Shell to crash. Uninstall IDT audio driver or get the updated fixed one. Simply removing IDTNC64.cpl should fix the crash too. |

Yeah it would've been great to have it working for AllFileSystemObjects. Unfortunately, it doesn't work.
The only time I've seen System.FileCount work is in Windows Explorer stacked search results. Unfortunately, stacking was removed after Windows Vista. |

It is changed by Windows if you are using a Microsoft account. If you revert to a local account, it should revert. Or you can modify StartMenuL10N.ini. |

The status bar details are the same as what the tooltip/infotip shows. You can customize the tooltip using the Registry but it's per-file type. As an example, see the "InfoTip" Reg value's data at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile. Article on it: Add More Details to Shortcut ToolTip in Windows 10:... |

Besides IDT, there is ONE MORE driver that I've found which crashes Control Panel. Realtek's audio driver if you haven't updated it, contains RtkAPO.dll which has the same effect as IDT's CPL file. |
