@Diogynes, yes unfortunately this message is part of the OS. Can't be customized. It is because Restart Manager sometimes fails to close the processes/programs automatically. Try if this works. Open Control Panel: Folder Options. On the View tab, locate and uncheck the option "Restore previous folder windows at logon". Now restart and see if the folder opens again. |

There aren't any plans to release it as a ZIP package but you can just copy the files and run the main Start Menu EXE (ClassicStartMenu.exe) - it should run without any issues. That's surprising. The user picture or lock screen picture is not even touched by Classic Shell. Can it be that it is disabled by Group Policy or in the registry? Try uninstalling Classic Shell temporarily. If uninstalling it doesn't return the greyed out setting, it means something else has disable... |

This is the Shutdown dialog of Windows, not added or modified by Classic Shell. It looks like you are using a custom theme or visual style which may have caused the fonts to turn fuzzy. |

It wasn't done earlier for performance reasons. .search-ms files are XMLs so the saved search criteria is stored and every time it is accessed, Explorer runs a search, which might be slow. Start Event Viewer and see under Windows Logs -> Application log if there are any Windows Installer (MSI) related errors and what it says. You can right click the "Application" log to hide "Information" events and show only Warnings and Errors. |

IMHO, two menus is an overkill. There is Win+X menu editor from Winaero to customize the Win+X menu. Microsoft removed the column handler shell extension type, so not possible. But Windows 8 does seem to have a "File extension" column although I don't think that OS is worth using for a file extension column. |

Select the path under which you want all folders expanded and press * on the numeric keypad. Be careful of doing this on a folder with MANY subfolders as it may hang Explorer. |
