Getting a crash dump does not require the crash to last 1 second. Simply run ProcDump, then make it crash by searching. |

Well, there are some tabs that are specific to each OS, also the labels may be different. Which may result in different number of rows. |

There are multiple reasons that can cause this. Usually it means some Windows system is either not responding or slow to respond. For example maybe the start menu is trying to access a network resource that is no longer available. Without a crash dump it is impossible to diagnose. |

The insider builds are newer than the official version. Press Win+R, type "winver", press Enter. It will tell you the version number. |

The setting is called "Pin_bitmap". Not all skins have it because by default the menu uses the icon from imageres.dll. Look at the Metro and Midnight skins for examples. |

Also, you can try deleting the jumplist files to reset them. For IE they are %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations\28c8b86deab549a1.automaticDestinations-ms %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations\28c8b86deab549a1.customDestinations-ms |
