filemenu tools would work fine for most uses..
u cant believe how may times i've needed that one though.. probably most people dont.. i'd go with filemenu tools one, its a bit more complicated though, imo |

| @ FileRenamer, there are many more difficult to use programs, that can do the similar things to FileRenamer, but this one is just drop down lists, its way more simple.. I used to use one where i had to add all my commands with special syntax to get the job done.. its made life much simpler.. for tho... |

| maybe u can try opening regedit and going to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Control Panel\don't load and right-click it, save a back-up, then delete that key completely and see if that doesnt fix it.. |

| if you launch programs from a custom folder, such as a "Program Launcher" folder, be sure you have enabled the folder containing all your programs to "Track Recent Items", or they wont appear in your Recent Items Menu |

| i understand you now.. but in my explorer window, no matter what folder I click in the left column, the right column is automatically focused, so i cant even use the up/down arrows to navigate through the folders, since every new folder selected focus goes immediately to the contents of that folder ... |

| actually, what are the rules for "recent Items"? There is a command entitled "RecentItems" and when I add it, it contains the list of items from the Recent Programs Menu, in the Start menu.. just moves it from a scrolling list to the new folder but it seems to add programs sporad... |
