Also, I now have a "Pin to Classic Start menu" as well as a "Pin to Start Menu (Classic Shell)" in my right-click context menu..

ya.. i guess I've just used computers so long (think CRTs from the early 90's) that I think full HD resolution is like a whole sea of real estate and a double row task bar seems like a trivial amount of space really, these days..

Why doesnt this work?:

shellexecute /F:shutdown.exe -a /R:hidden

anyway to use shell execute to get: "shutdown -a" (cancel Shutdown) to work hidden?

well.. that would be better for you then... you could set up Classic Shell on S:\, and all related stuff on S, then just copy it over to your USB directly, since you arent likely to ever use another computer outside of yours with an S: then all you'd have to do is create an ISO and Mount to S:, and ...
