Yes, Classic Shell stores a cache of the icons in this folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\ClassicShell Right-click on the start button and select Exit. Then delete the contents of that folder. Log off, and see if the problem will be fixed. There is a known bug in version 4.3.0, that when <No Skin> is selected, ... |

The skin is a DLL and you can edit the resources inside it using a resource editor of your choice. For editing alpha channels you need an image editor that supports it. |

You can simply increase the Menu Delay to some rather large number, like 30000. This will make the delay 30 seconds, effectively disabling it. |

Can you open the PC Settings via other means, like from the Windows start screen? It is likely just that the settings are busted, and that script fixes them somehow, but temporarily. |

The first screenshot is correct. The sub-menu is positioned so its top or bottom are aligned with the Programs item. If there is no room to do that, the sub-menu is positioned somewhere in the middle, which is shown on the second picture. |

What is this Glass CMD program? Maybe killing it is not enough. Maybe you need to disable it and restart. Also, it looks like you are using a custom theme. That may be contributing to the problem. Classic Shell is not designed to work with other software that messes with the look of the taskbar. |

The glass settings are just one part of the equation. The skin itself has a texture that contributes to the final look (in both color and opacity). |

It can't be a 3rd-party recreation of the features - the apps provide their live data in a way that only Windows understands, and Windows must in turn send that information to the live tile. I suspect the data will be extremely hard to get, if at all possible. |
