well, here's what I thought up for possible solutions: 1. The Classic Shell fix to "Pin to Classic Shell" could be adjusted to allow users to specify any folder they like as the target folder which will be monitored, and also show up in Recent Items... 2. Since the contents of the start Me...

Hey, in the left side of the start menu, how do you stop that from scrolling? How can I limit it to like 10 items with small icons, and utilize the rest of the left side of the menu for other custom things? is that possible? I want the items to appear in my fly-out folder button called "Program...

good tip on size 0

also, if you want some sort of button behavior, the image on the bottom 1/3 of your .png file (your Pressed state) should be nudged a few pixels down & to the left, or whatever direction you think looks like a button push

oh i think i get it you cant just browse to a .dll file The Windows Start Menu Icon file has to be an image which is exactly 3 times longer than it is wide, and needs to have 3 separate image states on each 1/3 section of the single png image it means a single .png file needs to have a Normal State,...

16x16 is pretty small.. you would need to set the size limit to 16x16.. i really think its too small, you may have found the wrong icon file.. try looking for a bigger one. you should have at least a 64x64, imo.. 128x128 is even better.. but you can set any icon you want to any size you want, from a...

i think it would be super awesome if Explorer Shell could have Mutiple panes, like Q-dir.. you can select 1, 2, 3, or 4 panes, and can easily toggle the navigation tree on or off in all of them and something Q-dir doesnt have, maybe one pane could be the Preview Pane maybe, or even have the preview ...

better to just set Shift+Click to equal regular Windows Menu, or Shift +Click for Classic Shell if you use the regular one more often

after shift-clicking you can do anything you want to in the regular start menu

If you are looking for the Properties, you can just shift+right-click the Start button

But if your UAC is disabled, maybe you could try to uninstall any shell modification or enhancement programs, enable UAC, then restart, and see if it comes back..
