That's certainly not true. First, you can't void the warranty by installing software. Second, Classic Shell does not alter any Windows files.

You can try changing the folder properties to make it "hidden". Keep in mind that many of the system folders exist in pairs, one for all users and one for the current user. So there may be two folders you need to update.

Anyway, for the latest version of Windows you need the latest version of Classic Shell, which is 4.3.0.

I'm not sure what little arrow you mean. If it is the arrow for the jumplists, the setting I mentioned will work. If it is the arrow for sub-menus (not jumplists), then increase the general "mouse delay" setting.

Look for the setting "Delay multiplier for split buttons". Set it to some rather large number, like 10000. This will make the delay 100 longer than the normal hover delay, so about half minute. It will effectively disable the hover behavior.

It is not possible to display the start screen inside another window. It is using a completely different and incompatible technology.
Start8 simply finds the main window of the menu and resizes it. It doesn't mix two menus in a single UI. Besides, that trick only worked for Windows 8.

Sorry, currently there are no plans to implement tiles in the foreseeable future. Live tiles are impossible (without reverse engineering and rewriting a large portion of the OS). Even dead tiles are a lot of work - people will want to add/remove/reorder/edit them dynamically.

You have a mix of files from version 4.3.0 and 4.2.7.
Use the Classic Shell Utility again, and this time choose the manual uninstall option. Restart the computer, then make sure the folder D:\Program Files\Classic Shell\ is gone. If not, delete it manually.
Then install version 4.3.0
