Thanks Ivo..after I replied, I did some checking.

The server I'm having issues with is NOT R2. Now I just have to figure out why..

Did I mention classic shell rocks!

The attached image on my OP titled "hyper-v" is from a vanilla server 2012 R2 install. That windows icon is default. It launches metro, but more importantly the right click menu launches everything a tech needs (almost). Maybe they added this with R2? I'm not sure...my shop avoided 2012, w...

I'm having issues getting the default windows start button back on server 2012 after removing classic shell. See the attached images for further explanation.

Please advise.
