tried to run sfc /scannow, but get a error message: You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use sfc /scannow.
Reboot had no effect.

After installing Windows Classic Shell, none of my metro apps will load. It flashes to the splash screen of the app, then returns to the metro start page!

New HP DV7-7227cl with Windows 8.
