Do you really see a menu item "Pin to Start Menu" on Server 2012? AFAIK there is no such thing. I may be wrong though, as I haven't used that Windows version much. On Windows 8/Windows 2012 it's called "Pin to Start" Given how little Microsoft "actually" rewrites from ...

Not a fan of the Metro look but that actually looks sort of usable. I will echo Noke's feedback about the items being really spaced out. I have high-resolution monitors but quite often have tons of pinned apps and tons of recent apps. The larger the menu is the more of the desktop your brain forgets...
