ok, I understand, then it's not for me,
I just wanted to minimize Metro Start encounters while taking advantage of some Moderm Apps (eg Calendar, Maps, Music, Skype, etc..).
other app options are available which do this.

isn't it possible to disable / replace that with classic shell start button (only the one at the left side down)?
I see this being done in another app, but I like classic shell.
if this can be done my wish is complete.

Windows 8.1,
Disable Active Corners -> Start Screen -> is on,

but in a metro app, if I move the mouse to the start button position and click on it, it always goes back to metro screen, no exception.

Hello, I have selected every option to open Classic start instead of everything, yet when I am in a Metro app if I click on the Start button, it takes me back to the Metro Start screen rather than desktop. (pushing Windows key takes me to desktop but clicking on Windows Button doesn't) how can I get...
