It is unlikely because Classic Shell doesn't touch the context menu. Just in case, capture a crash dump as shown at the top of this page. Thanks for the response. I am surprised that classic shell doesn't touch the context menu, as there are configurations for the context menu in it's settings menu...

I have had to reboot once, and the problem goes away for a while, but seems to come back.

I see the spinning circle, wait a while, give up, and when I come back (maybe a minute or two), no context menu.

I think this may be a new issue with 3.6.6

Windows 8, 64 bit, Dell XPS14
