The jumplists are dependent on the AppID which is different for each shortcut. Somehow the Start Menu shortcut and the Taskbar shortcut ended up having different AppIDs which is why the jumplist became different. :)

The Segoe UI Symbols font in 8.1 also has some of them but I think they are in the Private Use Area of the Unicode font. Copying them and pasting them into the Run dialog for example does not show them on my PC.

Open Device Manager and make sure all your device drivers are correctly installed and functional. Sleep and other ACPI features require Plug and Play to be fully functional.

Windows 10 Start Menu code and Classic Start Menu code are entirely different and do not affect or interfere with each other. No idea why your GPO to pin certain shortcuts to Taskbar/Windows 10 Start menu aren't working but it's not related to Classic Shell.

Which service? Turning off any Theme related service will give unexpected/broken results on modern versions of Windows. Skinning of elements won't work at all.

That means your Explorer.exe is crashing. Capture a crash dump using these instructions: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6 and then uninstall Classic Shell until it is fixed.

There is no skin to give you an appearance similar to the Windows 10 menu. As Ivo said, the Metro skin is your best option.

I haven't tested Classic Shell on Windows Server 2012 R2 but since it shares the codebase with Windows 8.1, the option should be available. Is it not? On Windows Server 2016, it won't be available.

Correct, there are no known or reported conflicts between Classic Shell and 7+ Taskbar Tweaker. Both Ivo and myself use 7+TT as well besides Classic Shell.

Which button image are you using? For Classic appearance, use the Classic button, not the Custom button. You can change the icon used for the Classic button. Attached here is the Windows 7 icon.

i have already un-installed it using the utility you mentioned. i shall try and install it again, and get back to you with the resuts. @edit ... NOPE! as soon as i try finish the install. Those buttons you mentioned are not added by Classic Shell but are a built-in part of Internet Explorer. You need to contact Microsoft Windows support. Maybe you are using Microsoft Edge which has an icon similar to IE but is a completely different browser. Post a screenshot if possible.

There is no toolbar added to IE (Internet Explorer). There is only a toolbar added to Windows Explorer (File Explorer). For IE, it adds back the text to the title bar, and some missing things to the IE status bar.
